On May 1st, 2019, UISDAA held the "Tip of the Iceberg:" A Rally Against Disability Injustice. The mission statement of the rally was as follows: "Students with disabilities at the University of Iowa have faced institutionalized, systemic barriers for decades. Our rights have long been violated and ignored, and our needs have gone neglected and dismissed. No matter your ability status nor your role in the community, we need your help to draw university-wide attention to the grave injustices disabled students are facing in every corner of our campus."
